Absolutely silent<\/b>
\nWidely used mid-drive motors, such as those from Bosch or Shimano, require an upstream gearbox to generate the necessary torque. This gearbox is largely responsible for the typical operating noise \u2013 including the new Pinion MGU unit.
\nThe neodrives Z20 rear hub motor deliberately does without a gearbox. The result: no motor noise, no disturbing vibrations \u2013 just quiet, relaxed riding. You give up nothing \u2013 except noise.<\/p>\n

Low wear<\/b>
\nidworx e-bikes with Pinion gearbox and neodrives Z20 rear hub motor offer a particularly low-wear combination for high-mileage riders and commuters. The drivetrain transmits only the rider\u2019s input power \u2013 not the additional motor power.
\nWith mid-drive systems, the drivetrain must transmit both rider and motor power. Due to the usually very small drive sprockets, high chain forces occur, resulting in high wear.
\nWith an idworx e-bike featuring a rear hub motor, wear on the entire drivetrain \u2013 chain, chainrings, and sprocket, or alternatively belt and pulleys \u2013 is drastically reduced. This allows long service intervals and low maintenance costs.

Effective motor braking<\/b>
\nOn long descents, the neodrives Z20 can be used as an effective motor brake. This significantly reduces wear on brake discs and brake pads and helps prevent dangerous overheating of the braking system.
\nIt also noticeably relieves the rider, especially the forearm muscles, reducing fatigue and increasing comfort. This function is not possible with mid-drive systems.<\/p>\n

Effective recuperation<\/b>
\nA special feature of the neodrives rear hub motor is recuperation \u2013 the recovery of energy while riding downhill by using the motor brake. During this process, the battery is recharged while riding.
\nWith consistent use of recuperation, range can be increased by well over 10%. The level of recuperation can be finely adjusted in three stages depending on terrain and preference.<\/p>\n

Natural pedaling feel<\/b>
\nThe neodrives Z20 delivers its power directly at the rear wheel. This ensures immediate, linear response and spontaneous acceleration. Maximum torque is always available regardless of the selected gear.
